3 minute read

Our community impact is driven by our people. Every year, team Probe nominates the causes they are most passionate about championing. Repeatedly, our people have made their top priority clear: advancing access to quality education.

This passion for education led us to the island of Tingloy, in the province of Batangas in the Philippines. Since 2024, Probe volunteers have rolled up their sleeves to create lasting, positive change for this community, including the installation of solar-powered water taps and the equipment of the island’s first public library.

2024: The start of a lasting partnership

In 2024, Probe CX partnered with the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) to support Brigada Eskwela, an annual school maintenance volunteer programme run by the Department of Education in the Philippines, and selected San Juan Elementary School in Tingloy to be the focus of our hands-on support.

That year, a group of 50 volunteers journeyed to Tingloy where they painted classrooms, repaired facilities and distributed school supplies in collaboration with PBSP and the local school community.

2025: Bringing clean water to Tingloy

It was during this hands-on work that our volunteers noticed a deeper challenge: the community’s struggle to access clean, drinkable water. Families in the community had to purchase bottled water or carry heavy containers over long distances. Students of San Juan Elementary School also had to leave class to fetch water to use the restroom.

Probe CX, in collaboration with PBSP, the Municipality of Tingloy and community leaders, sponsored a comprehensive infrastructure plan to ensure access to safe water.

In 2025, we proudly inaugurated the Solar-Powered Clean Water Project. This complete, sustainable infrastructure project involved:

  • Drilling and installing a solar-powered deep well pump.
  • Erecting two 2,000-litre storage tanks to secure the water supply.
  • Building a pipeline network to deliver seven strategic community water taps, including one inside San Juan Elementary School and the local medical clinic,
  • For 140 students and eight teachers, this also meant an end to class disruptions caused by water concerns.

2026: Investing in literacy and digital learning

In 2025, Tingloy’s Vice Mayor confided in our team her latest dream project: building the island’s very first Community Library and Digital Learning Centre. This new facility would empower 9,000 students and out-of-school youth aged 6 to 30, nearly half of the island’s 20,000 residents.

Our volunteers organised a book drive, collecting more than 1,000 high-quality books. Probe CX also purchased another 2,000+ brand-new books which were all donated to the library.

Moreover, to assist in the bridge of the digital divide, we donated 7 laptops, 10 fully equipped desktop computers and all the furniture needed to create a modern, comfortable space for learning to help bring the Vice Mayor’s vision to life and provide accessible opportunities for all members of the Tingloy community to learn and grow.

Why staying committed matters

What started as a simple school cleanup has become a beautiful, lasting legacy of clean water, health and digital literacy. Our partnership with the local Tingloy community has been a wonderful opportunity to see how long-term commitment sets up lasting impact and proves, once again, that when exceptional people unite for a shared cause, we can create real, positive change.

We cannot wait to see what the future holds for the kids of Tingloy!

Recognised by ESGBusiness Awards

Our journey has also resonated across the industry. In September 2026, Probe Group, parent company of Probe CX, was recognised in the Philippines by the prestigious ESGBusiness Awards, receiving the Digital Inclusion Award for supporting the opening of the Digital Learning Centre in Tingloy. Probe was also recognised in the Collaborative Partnership category alongside our partners at Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) for our combined efforts in support of the Tingloy community.

This marks the second consecutive year our Tingloy initiatives have earned recognition at the ESGBusiness Awards. In 2025, our Solar-Powered Clean Water Initiative won in both the Sustainable Infrastructure and Sustainable Water Management categories.
